This is the fictionalized account of the unidentified assailant during the Haymarket Affair of May 4, 1886: the event that secured the right to an 8-hour workday in the United States, though not without bloodshed. A pivotal piece of Socialist and American history that is seldom taught.

-------------<{ Overview }>-------------

This short narrative Bitsy project attempts to retell the events of Haymarket through the perspective of the Anarchists who incited the riot. Despite the Bitsy engine's limited toolset, this project attempts to create suspense through the clever use of room transitions, which simulates motion and world alterations. An abundance of sprite animations and tightly designed walkways during the meeting create a sense of claustrophobia and confusion, which fostered an environment in which a bomb could be thrown anonymously to devastating effect. Dialogue gives the protester's perspective and sheds light on their motivations to amass both peacefully and, eventually, through violence.
